The Brawlers have hit their first birthday, and what a great way to celebrate.

The Brawlers babes did it again! In the bout against Birmingham Blitz Dames, TBB came out on top winning 123 to 110!  So proud! I wish I could of been in two places at once and caught the game.  On the flip side, two of the girls left with injuries Queen LaQueefer broke her ankle and Sian Of The Dead a broken finger - speedy recovery to both you babes.  Undefeated TBB!

Today Tiger Bay Brawlers had the utmost privilege of being coached by Evel Von Detta and Frightening Bolt from London Rockin’ Rollers.  The entire three hour session was amazing despite me having to sit out for 15mins thanks to the wheezy aftermath of my chest infection.  We covered some new blocking and offensive blocking drill and had time left for a 30minute skrimmage to put all our new found theories to the test.  A massive thankyou to them both for coming here to coach/play with us. And for anyone who has the chance to go see London Rockin’Rollers in action I highly suggest you do so! Keep checks with them on their website right here!!!

A sneeky peak from yesterdays bout. BB Bombshell jumping the apex!!! Jawdropping I would say!

Tonight was an absolutely massive success! With over 600 tickets sold over-all and a blinding score as a result.  Every thing ran like clock work with absolutely no glitches as far as I’m aware!  The girls gave an amazing game, the crowd were amazing (even if many had never even seen a Derby game before) and on top of that we had an awesome after party!!  I am proud of a only a few things and Tiger Bay Brawlers is definitely in the top two.  With the first bout under our belt and a huge winning score of 173 to 37 it’s safe to say, we’ve left our (tiger print) mark and we ain’t going nowhere bitches.

My Roller Derby Team ‘Tiger Bay Brawlers’ have our first bout on January 15th against Bristol Harbour Harlots.  Please come along and show your support! It’s going to be hell’a’fun. Although I’m not in this bout I’m definitely going to be loosing my lungs through bellowing!

My Roller Derby team ‘Tiger Bay Brawlers’ were in the local newspaper yesterday ‘South Wales Echo’, an article about the donation we recieved from Admiral Insurance. Cheers Admiral. Also, we’ll be on Eggheads in a few months, keep eyes peeled.

After a gruelling session with the Tiger Bay Brawlers, I’m just going to admit how much I love this sport! Although this is a seriously old photo (and I’m pretty sure that tactic is illegal in the eyes of the league) it still represents how brutal yet fun this contact sport is.
